Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Childcare Provider to join our team. This role involves supporting the care and development of children in a nurturing and safe environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, experience working with children, and a strong understanding of classroom management and behavior guidance. Responsibilities Assist lead childcare providers in supervising and engaging children in age-appropriate activities Support children's emotional, social, and physical development through interactive play and learning Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, following established safety protocols Help with classroom organization, including preparing materials and maintaining cleanliness Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior Assist with feeding, diapering, and personal hygiene routines for infants and toddlers Support children with special needs or disabilities as required, including implementing individualized plans Foster a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social skills Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent care and effective communication with parents or guardians Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices Experience with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or children with special needs is advantageous Certifications such as First Aid and CPR are desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided if needed Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies Background in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and needs This role is vital in creating a supportive environment that promotes healthy growth and learning for young children.
