Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Child Care Assistant Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help nurture young minds and support their developmental journey. In this vital role, you will assist lead teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Your energy and compassion will contribute to fostering a positive learning atmosphere that encourages curiosity, social skills, and early childhood growth. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while gaining valuable experience in early education. No weekends and 3pm to 5:30pm Monday through Friday. Duties Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and well-being Assist with classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting learning environment Engage children in educational games, arts and crafts, storytime, and other developmental exercises Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, progress, and any concerns about their child's development Follow all mandated reporting laws to ensure child safety and report any signs of neglect or abuse promptly Support classroom routines such as diapering, feeding, and transitioning between activities with patience and care Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is highly preferred Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification in first aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred) to ensure readiness for emergencies Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration Ability to manage behavior positively while maintaining classroom discipline Commitment to creating an inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds and abilities Join us in shaping the future by supporting young learners at this rewarding stage of life!
