Job Description

Carnation Early Learning Center is seeking a warm, energetic, and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with young children, committed to creating a positive learning environment, and eager to support each child's social, emotional, and academic growth. Classroom assignment may vary (Infant-Pre-K), based on center needs and candidate experience. Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that support learning through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences
  • Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that promotes safety, belonging, and independence
  • Build strong, positive relationships with children and families through daily communication and ongoing collaboration
  • Use observation and assessment to guide instruction and support individual learning needs
  • Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and adherence to licensing and center policies
  • Support children's social-emotional development using positive guidance strategies
  • Work collaboratively with co-teachers and center leadership to ensure a consistent, high-quality program
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings
  • Supervise children at all times and ensure compliance with all safety, health, and state licensing standards Qualifications
  • Experience working with young children in a child care or early learning setting
  • CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) preferred but not required
  • Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practice
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues
  • Reliability, flexibility, and a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Must meet all state licensing requirements, including background checks and health requirements What We Offer
