Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Preschool Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young minds will inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence in children. In this dynamic role, you will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Your expertise will help lay the foundation for lifelong learning and success while fostering positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans tailored to preschool-aged children, incorporating principles of early childhood education and Montessori methods when applicable Foster a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and social skills development Manage daily classroom activities with effective behavior management and classroom management strategies to ensure a positive learning atmosphere Conduct child development assessments to monitor progress and adapt instructional approaches accordingly Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns using clear and compassionate communication skills Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and ensure child welfare standards are consistently met Incorporate literacy education, math activities, physical education, and other developmental areas into lesson plans to support holistic growth Support children with special needs through individualized instruction, early intervention strategies, and collaboration with specialists when necessary Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times by maintaining first aid and CPR certifications and adhering to health guidelines Qualifications Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; prior classroom experience is highly valued Applicants must have all required Michigan preschool teacher qualifications completed and be able to provide documentation. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and early intervention techniques Familiarity with special education practices and behavior management strategies for young children Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members Ability to plan and execute age-appropriate lessons that promote literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional learning Certification in first aid and CPR required; ongoing professional development in early childhood education Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children is a plus Demonstrated commitment to child welfare, safety standards, and inclusive classroom practices.
Pay:
$16.00 - $22.00 per hour
