Temporary FT Early Head Start Home Base Educator Eveleth MN

Job Description

Responsible for the coordination and implementation of Early Head Start programming. Educates and supports expectant parents, and families of infants and toddlers in home and group settings. Plans and implements learning experiences using the approved curriculum to fidelity to meet the individualized needs of each child and family. Educates and supports families in school readiness; parents, family and community engagement; and self-sufficiency. Minimum bachelor's degree with Child Development credential or equivalent coursework. Experience in planning and implementing learning experiences in all developmental domains using curriculum. Experience working with parents, infants, toddlers, and/or expectant parents. Current Infant/Child CPR/First Aid Certificate or must be able to obtain. Computer/ Technology skills. Valid driver's license- Extensive travel of service area. Background study required.
Needed Attributes:
Awareness of, sensitivity to, and ability to work effectively, respectfully, and be culturally responsive with parents, expectant parents, teen parents, infants, and toddlers from a variety of social, cultural, and economic backgrounds. Self-starter with excellent communication, organizational, and management skills. Ability to work independently and in collaboration with co-workers and community members. Ability to lift 50 pounds and occasionally more; and able sit on the floor. Temporary Full-Time Early Head Start Home-Based Educator position open in Eveleth, MN. 39 hrs/wk.
Anticipated employment period:
September 28, 2026-November 20, 2026. This is a short-term temporary position expected to end November 20, 2026.
Starting wage:
$27.92/hr. Position open until September 16, 2026. AA/EOE Schedules, plans, implements, and documents individualized and group programming based on the identified needs and interests of expectant parents and families of infants and toddlers while using the curriculum to fidelity Educates and supports children and families through individualized implementation of all domains in the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework, while maintaining a focus on child goals Responsible for computerized data collection, entry, reporting, analyzing, and supporting child outcomes Educates, facilitates, and implements health, social service, safety, nutrition and mental health services in collaboration with program managers, staff, consultants and community members Conducts and collaborates with Health Educator to ensure individual child and prenatal screenings are completed within the required timelines Refers to and assists in development and implementation of federal, state and locally mandated regulations: Planned and Documented Interventions, Individual Family Service Plans, and Individual Health Plans Implements and documents the Family Partnership Agreement process with families to identify strengths, needs, goals and strategies toward achieving self-sufficiency; including connecting families to community services and resources based on an individualized need or interest Recruits and enrolls potential Early Head Start and Head Start families in addition to assisting with community outreach projects, programs, and public relations Follows federal, state, and program mandated reporting regulations Manages site budget, equipment, materials and supplies Maintains relationship-based competencies that support family engagement Addtional Comments
