Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Child Care Lead Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a dynamic early childhood education environment. In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula, and foster a safe, inclusive space where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Duties Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Lead daily classroom activities for preschool or toddler-aged children, ensuring a nurturing environment that promotes curiosity and independence. Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques, fostering respectful interactions among children and staff. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child progress, milestones, and any concerns to build strong partnerships. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of child development progress and incident reports. Oversee classroom safety protocols, including first aid and CPR procedures, to ensure a secure environment for all children. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, classroom management strategies, and inclusive practices such as special education and early intervention programs. Experience Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings such as daycare centers, preschools, or private schools. Demonstrated expertise in child development instruction, classroom management, and lesson planning tailored for young learners. Knowledge of childhood development milestones, standardized testing methods for early education assessment, and early intervention strategies. Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children in core subjects like math or literacy education. Familiarity with special education needs, behavior management techniques, and working with diverse student populations including toddlers and preschoolers. Valid certifications in first aid and CPR; experience adhering to mandated reporting laws is highly preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff members, and community partners.
