Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant & Toddler Teacher to inspire and nurture the youngest learners in our early childhood education program. In this vital role, you will create a warm, engaging, and safe environment that promotes developmental growth, literacy, and social-emotional skills for infants and toddlers. Your enthusiasm for early childhood education will help foster curiosity, independence, and a love of learning in our little students. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact during the foundational years of a child's development. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that support early childhood development, including literacy, math, and social skills. Provide attentive toddler care by monitoring health, safety, nutrition, and hygiene needs throughout the day. Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement techniques to promote respectful interactions and emotional regulation. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to ensure collaborative support. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning while adhering to safety standards. Follow mandated reporting laws by documenting incidents or concerns related to child welfare promptly and accurately. Incorporate specialized educational strategies such as Montessori methods or early intervention techniques when appropriate. Experience Prior classroom experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed childcare setting or preschool environment is preferred. Knowledge of child development principles, including milestones for early childhood growth and behavior management strategies. Experience developing curriculum content focused on literacy education, math concepts, and preschool readiness skills. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in childhood development or early childhood education is preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and community partners. Demonstrated ability to manage classroom routines efficiently while fostering a nurturing atmosphere.
