Job Description

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to support the developmental and emotional needs of children in our care. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing environment while engaging children in age-appropriate activities that promote growth and learning. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children, possess strong communication skills, and be committed to fostering positive developmental outcomes. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children's lives through attentive caregiving and educational support. Responsibilities Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Provide basic health and safety care, including administering first aid and CPR when necessary. Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom or play area in accordance with childcare standards. Follow mandated reporting laws to report any signs of abuse or neglect promptly. Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine caregiving tasks for infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children. Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to foster positive social interactions. Comply with all licensing regulations, safety protocols, and childcare policies. Skills (Not necessary, but beneficial--will provide training as needed) Experience working with children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Certification in first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, and child safety procedures. Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus. Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration. Classroom management skills to create a structured yet flexible learning environment. Ability to handle behavioral challenges with patience and professionalism. Experience in caregiving roles such as babysitting or daycare center work is highly desirable. Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development.
