Job Summary
The Faith Finders Aide supports the parish summer camp program at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. This role assists teachers and program staff in creating a safe, engaging, and faith-centered environment for children participating in the Faith Finders summer program. Working as part of a collaborative team, aides help support the spiritual, social, and developmental growth of children through daily activities, play, and routines. The position plays an important role in fostering a positive atmosphere rooted in Catholic values while ensuring children are supervised and cared for throughout the camp day. Job Responsibilities Provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children at all times
Supervise and actively engage with children during classroom activities, outdoor play, water activities, and transitions
Assist teachers with implementing age-appropriate activities, including crafts, games, and faith-based learning experiences
Support the integration of Catholic teachings and values into daily programming
Collaborate with teachers and program staff to ensure a consistent and well-organized daily schedule
Assist with preparation, distribution, and cleanup of snacks and lunches
Monitor children's behavior and encourage positive interactions, conflict resolution, and respect for others
Assist with the setup, organization, and cleanup of supplies, equipment, and program spaces
Maintain cleanliness and organization of classrooms and shared spaces
Communicate effectively with supervisors, teachers, and team members regarding student needs, concerns, or incidents
Follow all parish, school, and diocesan policies and safety procedures
Complete all other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the program
Job Requirements Minimum age of 16 years old
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a dynamic environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with children
Dependable, responsible, and positive attitude
Willingness to support and uphold the mission and values of the parish
Ability to follow directions and assist teachers and program staff as needed throughout the day
