As a lead preschool teacher, you will be partnered with our Co-Director to facilitate our main Bumblebee classroom. As a key member of our team , you'll be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming space for our children. Your daily responsibilities will include leading and assisting with various activities, such as: Small groups, mealtimes, circle time, outdoor exploration, and playtime. Age-appropriate lessons following the Missouri Early Learning Standards and our Learning Beyond Paper Curriculum. Social and emotional skill development with gentle guidance and care. Communicating with parents in a friendly, respectful, and professional manner. Keeping up with daily notes, child observations, and records in a timely, organized manner. Weekends off! Experience in early childhood is beneficial, but we are willing to train the right person! Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills. High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment. A strong understanding of child development. Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification
Can be completed after hire date.
Must clear a full background check and must pass a health screening, including TB test. Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat, or crawl.
