Job Summary Child Care Educator Join our dedicated early childhood education team as a Child Care Educator and create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children. In this role, you will support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through age-appropriate activities and positive interactions. You will work collaboratively with families and fellow educators to ensure each child reaches their full potential while maintaining a welcoming and inclusive classroom. Duties Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote early learning and school readiness. Create a safe, clean, and positive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence. Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being. Observe, assess, and document children's developmental progress and communicate updates with families. Foster positive behavior by using effective classroom management techniques and promoting social-emotional development. Maintain accurate attendance, incident, and developmental records in accordance with center policies. Collaborate with parents, guardians, and staff to support each child's individual learning needs. Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and organizational policies. Assist children with daily routines, including meals, toileting, rest time, and hygiene practices. Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and center events to support continuous program improvement. Skills Knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate teaching practices. Experience planning and implementing engaging classroom activities and lesson plans. Strong classroom management and behavior guidance skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, families, and coworkers. Ability to observe and assess children's developmental milestones. Knowledge of child care licensing requirements, health, and safety regulations. Patience, creativity, compassion, and a genuine passion for working with young children. Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative educational team. CPR and First Aid certification (preferred or as required by state regulations). High School Diploma or GED required
