Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional learning tailored to toddlers' developmental stages Create a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence Engage children in activities that support language development, motor skills, and emotional regulation using evidence-based teaching strategies Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through meetings or written updates Manage classroom routines effectively, including transitions, nap times, meal times, and outdoor play Follow mandated reporting laws by documenting any concerns related to child welfare or safety and reporting them promptly to appropriate authorities Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons that incorporate sensory activities, early intervention techniques, and inclusive practices for children with special needs Skills Strong knowledge of child development principles specific to toddlers and preschool-aged children Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings Proficiency in curriculum development focused on early literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social skills Ability to manage classroom behavior positively while maintaining a nurturing environment Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child welfare best practices First aid and CPR certification to ensure safety during emergencies Experience implementing classroom management strategies that support individualized learning plans for children with special needs or requiring early intervention Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment when applicable Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate hands-on activities and promote active learning Join us in shaping the future by fostering curiosity and confidence in our youngest learners!
