In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula tailored to toddlers' developmental stages, and foster a safe, stimulating environment that promotes growth, curiosity, and joy. Your energetic approach and dedication will help lay a strong foundation for children's future learning journeys while ensuring their well-being and happiness. Duties Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a lively and engaging atmosphere that supports toddler development across cognitive, social, emotional, and physical domains. Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans incorporating curriculum development principles Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques, creating an environment conducive to learning and exploration. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any special education or childcare needs. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to maintain high standards of classroom management and educational support. Conduct assessments to monitor individual progress and inform instructional strategies. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, child welfare standards, and licensing requirements while maintaining a clean, organized classroom environment. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings, specifically with toddlers or preschool-aged children. NJ group or head teacher qualifications required, must have degree in education or current CDA. Strong background in childhood development theories, curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior positively while fostering a nurturing environment.
Pay:
From $27.00 per hour
