Preschool Teacher The Tiny Seed Early Childhood Education Center Union City, NJ Job Details Full-time $40,000 - $50,000 a year 11 hours ago Qualifications Bilingual Computer operation Bachelor's degree Classroom experience Lesson planning Classroom Teaching Technical Proficiency Parent-teacher conferences (communication methods) Full Job Description We are seeking four passionate and dedicated Pre-K Teachers to join our New Jersey Department of Education Early Childhood Pre-K Program. This is a full-time, 10-month position for educators who are committed to creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment where young children can thrive. Position Summary The Pre-K Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing high-quality lesson plans while fostering the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of preschool-aged children. Teachers will work collaboratively with the Director, Master Teachers, Teacher Assistants, substitutes, floaters, families, and volunteers to provide an exceptional early childhood education experience aligned with the HighScope Curriculum, Grow NJ Kids Standards, and the center's educational philosophy. Qualifications Valid New Jersey P-3 Certificate of Eligibility (CE) or Standard Teaching License (required) Bachelor's degree (required) Classroom teaching experience Computer proficient Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply Essential Responsibilities Plan and implement engaging weekly lesson plans using the HighScope Curriculum. Provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment. Supervise and support children while promoting positive behaviors and meaningful learning experiences. Collaborate with Teacher Assistants and other classroom staff to ensure high-quality instruction. Maintain daily required classroom documentation. Conduct developmental screenings, ongoing assessments, and parent conferences within required timelines. Maintain accurate anecdotal notes, developmental assessments, and student records. Participate in staff meetings and required professional development. Support center-wide events, community activities, and family engagement initiatives. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the center's mission and operations.
