Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to the developmental stages of preschool and toddler-aged children, incorporating literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and creative play. Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and social interaction among children. Manage daily classroom activities with effective behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct and emotional regulation. Conduct ongoing assessments of child development to tailor instruction and support early intervention when needed. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns through meetings, reports, or digital updates. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation related to child welfare and safety protocols. Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons that integrate childhood development principles and standardized testing when applicable. Maintain current certifications such as First Aid and CPR to ensure a safe environment for all children. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or daycare environments. Strong knowledge of early childhood education practices, child development instruction, and classroom management techniques. Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education strategies. Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention programs, and behavior management techniques. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Ability to adhere to mandated reporting laws and maintain confidentiality regarding student information. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in childhood development or preschool teaching are preferred. Ability to work flexibly within a team environment while demonstrating enthusiasm for teaching physical education and fostering overall child welfare.
