Our client is looking for a knowledgeable food safety and nutrition-focused Preschool Cook Assistant to support the Head Cook in all aspects of daily food preparation at their premier preschool in Adelino, NM. Ensure the health, safety, care and well-being of children at all times and compliance with quality standards in tandem with all local, state and federal laws, standards and regulations. Supporting the relationship with the food service caterer. Partnering with the Head Cook and the caterer to deliver child-friendly, nutritious menus. Ensuring food is accepted from caterer each day and stored according to all health and safety regulations. Preparing daily snacks. Distributing food to every classroom in accordance will all center health, safety and allergy restriction practices. Ensuring all food service items are collected from classrooms, cleaned and stored in accordance with health, safety and allergy restriction practices. Ensure entire facility operates at the highest level of cleanliness throughout the day. Qualifications

Age:

must be at least 18 years of age

Education:

High School Diploma

PREFERRED

Certification:

Food Manager Certification or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire Must be able to lift ~30 pounds Must meet background check eligibility
