Job Description

Job Summary Implements curriculum and daily lesson plans, supervises children and classroom activities, maintains child observations and program records, communicates effectively with parents, ensures a safe and well-maintained learning environment, and complies with licensing regulations. Major Duties & Responsibilities Implements curriculum within the established guidelines. Designs and implements daily lesson/activity plans. Supervises the children, classroom, and all activities. Makes ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of each child. Maintains positive relationships and effective communication with parents. Maintains program site and equipment. Maintains required program records. Attends and participates in program activities, staff meetings, and staff training. Abides by all licensing regulations. All other duties assigned by the Childcare Director. Key Qualifications & Skills Meets educational and experience qualifications established by the Office of Child and Family Services. At least 18 years of age. CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date. Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred. Ability to plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities. Previous experience with diverse populations. Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds.
