Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Preschool Assistant to support multi-classroom environments within our early childhood education program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fostering a nurturing, engaging, and educational atmosphere for young children. This role involves collaborating with lead teachers to implement curriculum, manage classroom activities, and support children's developmental needs. Experience with children, classroom management, and early childhood education principles are essential to success in this position. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans across various subjects including literacy, math, and curriculum development tailored to preschool-aged children. Support classroom management and behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Help with daily routines such as snack time, nap time, and bathroom breaks while ensuring safety and hygiene standards are maintained. Support children with special needs or disabilities, including working with children with autism or other developmental challenges. Maintain open communication with parents regarding children's progress and classroom activities. Assist in preparing classroom materials and organizing educational resources aligned with Montessori or other curriculum models like Toddler care or private school standards. Contribute to creating an inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds and abilities. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices including behavior management techniques. Familiarity with special education needs, working with children with disabilities or autism, and working with people with disabilities is advantageous. Experience in lesson planning, curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, and classroom management is desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and children. Certification in early childhood education or related fields is a plus but not mandatory. Ability to work well in multi-classroom environments and adapt to various age groups such as toddlers or preschoolers. Compassionate attitude towards children and a commitment to fostering a safe and nurturing learning space.
