Develop and adapt curriculum materials that align with early childhood education best practices, including special education strategies and early intervention techniques. Foster strong communication with parents and guardians by providing regular updates on children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certifications, to maintain a secure environment for children. Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management strategies that promote respectful interactions and emotional regulation. Oversee classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety protocols to create an inviting space conducive to learning and exploration. Skills Extensive experience working with young children in early childhood or preschool settings with a focus on toddler care. Proven ability to develop engaging curricula that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activity, and social-emotional learning. Strong classroom management skills combined with effective behavior management techniques tailored for toddlers. Knowledge of childhood development principles, special education needs, early intervention methods, and standardized testing where applicable. Excellent communication skills for parent engagement, team collaboration, and staff training purposes. Demonstrated experience in teaching physical education activities suitable for toddlers to promote motor skills development. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, child welfare practices, first aid/CPR certification requirements, and health & safety standards in childcare environments.
