Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking two Daycare Substitute Teachers for our brand new, NYS licensed Group Family Daycare in Patchogue. Our goal is to combine the warmth and personal connections of a small daycare with the structure, professionalism, and educational focus of a larger center. Our program operates in a purpose built classroom that is separate from our home.

•as-needed/on-call position and does not have a regular weekly schedule or guaranteed number of hours

•. Substitute staff may be contacted to provide coverage for employee absences, appointments, vacations, or other staffing needs. Opportunities may sometimes be scheduled in advance and other times offered on shorter notice. This position is a great fit for someone with a flexible schedule who enjoys working with children but is not looking for a set number of hours each week.

Schedule:

Weekdays, as needed, between 7:30 AM-5:30

PM Hours:

•Day-to-Day Responsibilities Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants and toddlers. Supervise children at all times while maintaining

NYS OCFS

health and safety standards. Assist with diapering, toileting, handwashing, feeding, and other daily care routines. Engage children in age-appropriate play, learning activities, outdoor play, and circle time. Help maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized classroom throughout the day. Communicate professionally and respectfully with families during drop-off and pick-up. Perform other childcare-related duties necessary to support the daily operation of the program. Experience Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or childcare setting is highly preferred Knowledge of child development principles, early childhood education practices, and classroom management techniques Familiarity with toddler care, infant care, and preschool activities enhances your ability to support diverse age groups Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration Ability to follow safety protocols diligently and adhere to childcare licensing regulations

Pay:

$20.00 per hour Expected hours: 1.0

•40.0 per week
