Bilingual (Spanish and English) Early Childhood Teacher Don Bosco Community Center - 4.5 Port Chester, NY Job Details Part-time 1 day ago Qualifications Spanish English Education Student support Early Childhood Education Full Job Description Job Overview Don Bosco Community Center is seeking a warm, energetic, and qualified Bilingual Early Childhood Teacher to lead engaging Saturday enrichment classes for children in Head Start, UPK, Kindergarten, and First Grade. The program supports bilingual learning, early literacy, math, science, arts, and parent-child engagement in a welcoming community-based setting.
Schedule:
Saturdays, October through April, 8:00-9:45 a.m.
Position Type:
Part-time, seasonal
Compensation:
Based on experience Responsibilities Plan and lead age-appropriate bilingual lessons in English and Spanish Support children's early literacy, communication, social-emotional, math, science, and arts learning Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment Engage families in learning and reading activities Participate in occasional educational trips and family events Communicate student needs and progress with the Program Director and families Qualifications Fluency in English and Spanish required Degree, coursework, or training in Early Childhood Education, Childhood Education, Bilingual Education, or a related field preferred Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a community-based program To Apply Please send a résumé and brief cover letter to Expected hours: 5.0 - 10.0 per week
