Overview Join our vibrant childcare team as a Daycare Assistant and become a vital part of creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. In this role, you will support early childhood development by assisting lead teachers in implementing educational activities, supervising children, and ensuring their well-being. Duties Supervise children during daily activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and proper behavior management Assist with implementing age-appropriate educational programs that promote childhood development and learning Support classroom management by maintaining organized learning spaces and engaging children in constructive activities Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences to foster strong relationships Follow health and safety protocols, including administering first aid or pediatric first aid when necessary, and adhering to mandated reporting laws Help with diapering, feeding, and basic caregiving tasks for infants and toddlers to ensure comfort and hygiene Support lead teachers in documenting developmental milestones and maintaining accurate child records Experience Previous experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, or related safety training is advantageous Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents, children, and team members Prior experience in babysitting or caregiving roles that involve supervision of young children will be considered valuable Join us to inspire young minds through compassionate care and engaging educational experiences!
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
