Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Education Coordinator and Assistant Daycare to join our vibrant early childhood education team. This dynamic role combines leadership in developing engaging educational programs with hands-on support in daily childcare operations. You will play a vital part in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where young children can thrive, learn, and develop essential skills. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to influence early childhood development while working alongside a team committed to excellence in childcare and education. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote childhood development, including afterschool, preschool, toddler, and infant care activities. Coordinate educational activities that enhance social, emotional, and cognitive growth for children of diverse abilities, including those with disabilities. Supervise and support classroom staff and caregivers to ensure high-quality childcare delivery and adherence to safety standards. Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through regular updates and meetings. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health regulations, and safety protocols such as first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and child supervision policies. Organize training sessions for staff on topics like behavior management, classroom management, special education strategies, and childhood development best practices. Oversee the daily operations of the daycare center to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children and staff alike. Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and evaluating staff members to foster a motivated team dedicated to exceptional childcare standards. Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare centers or early childhood education settings is required. Demonstrated classroom management skills with preschoolers, toddlers, or infants is essential. Experience working with children who have special needs or disabilities is highly valued. Knowledge of childhood development instruction methods and behavior management techniques is necessary. Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, or related health safety training is preferred or must be obtained upon hire. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child abuse prevention is required. Previous experience in parent communication and collaboration helps foster positive relationships with families. Pay:
$20.00 - $29.33 per hour
