Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster their development, support their individual needs, and ensure a positive experience for both children and their families. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children while gaining valuable classroom experience. Responsibilities Supervise and engage children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Assist lead teachers with implementing age-appropriate lesson plans focused on early childhood development and learning milestones Support children with personal care routines such as diapering, feeding, and hygiene practices in accordance with health standards Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes learning and safety Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily activities Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being Support behavior management strategies to encourage positive interactions among children Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred Knowledge of child development instruction, classroom management, and behavior management techniques Certification in first aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred) to ensure quick response in emergencies Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child safety protocols Passion for early childhood education, babysitting, or toddler care with a proactive attitude toward learning and growth Join us to be part of a supportive environment where your dedication helps shape young minds!
