Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Director at a vibrant Child Care Center dedicated to nurturing early childhood development and fostering a positive learning environment. In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee daily operations, support educational programming, and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards. Duties Assist the Center Director in managing daily center operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning. Lead and supervise teaching staff, providing mentorship, performance evaluations, and professional development facilitation. Oversee curriculum development to ensure age-appropriate, engaging educational programs that support childhood development milestones. Coordinate with families to foster strong relationships, address concerns, and communicate center policies effectively. Manage budgets related to program supplies, staff resources, and facility needs while ensuring fiscal responsibility. Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and educational laws including special education law and childhood development guidelines. Lead strategic planning initiatives to enhance program quality, expand community outreach efforts through fundraising activities, and improve overall center services. Requirements Proven experience in school administrative leadership or as a school or child care director with a strong background in early childhood education. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, instructional leadership in education, and managing educational programs aligned with regulatory standards. Strong management skills including personnel management in education settings, supervising school staff, and faculty evaluation. Knowledge of legal requirements related to school operation, including educational compliance and regulation understanding. Experience managing budgets as an executive education administrator along with strategic planning and fundraising capabilities. Excellent communication skills for public speaking, team leadership, and working effectively with students and families from diverse backgrounds. Classroom experience in early childhood or K-12 settings is highly desirable to inform leadership decisions. Ability to facilitate professional development sessions for staff focused on best practices in childhood development and classroom management.
