Job Description
Job Summary Join our early childhood education team as a Preschool Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young learners. In this vital role, you will implement curriculum plans, supervise children, and maintain a positive classroom atmosphere. Your active participation will foster early childhood development, promote literacy and numeracy skills, and ensure compliance with educational standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while developing your skills in early childhood education. Duties Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate lessons focused on literacy, math, social skills, and emotional development. Supervise and assist all children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and positive behavior. Support classroom management strategies to promote respectful behavior and a productive learning environment. Engage children in educational activities that foster curiosity, creativity, and foundational skills in line with early childhood development standards. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share updates on children. Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, behavior reports, and classroom supplies to ensure compliance with educational regulations. Become familiar with and follow all state, ODJFS licensing, and center rules and expectations.
