About Us Monkey Tree Learning Center is a community-focused early childhood education center in Saint Helens, OR. We are a small and dedicated to supporting young children as they grow, learn, and thrive. Our goal is to hire a compassionate and motivated Daycare Teacher to support children ages 1-5 in reaching their individualized learning goals within a play-based, community preschool setting. Our current need is supporting our infant and toddler classroom ages. Work Environment Supportive, collaborative team culture Opportunities for professional growth and training Engaged families and community partnerships Hands-on, play-based learning environment Responsibilities Assist in planning and leading age-appropriate lessons, activities, and projects for preschool-aged children Provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment Support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through structured and play-based learning Help guide positive behavior management using developmentally appropriate techniques Work closely with lead teachers and families to meet each child's individual needs Assist with documenting and tracking children's progress and development Ensure all health, safety, and licensing requirements are consistently met Contribute to creating a positive, engaging, and joyful classroom experience Qualifications Previous experience working with preschool-aged children (center, school, or similar setting) Knowledge of positive behavior support strategies Experience supporting children with autism or diverse learning needs (preferred) Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills Collaborative and flexible mindset, eager to be part of a team Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Genuine passion for working with young children and helping them reach their potential We need someone who is available to work all hours that we are open (6:30am-5:30pm). Our highest need is our closing shift which would be off at 5:30pm daily. We currently cannot support someone needing to only work "school hours" due to other children in school.

Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
