The teacher implements the Early Head Start Performance Standards using a research-based curriculum, promotes school readiness, supports social-emotional development, and partners with families to support each child's growth and well-being. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Plan and implement individualized, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with Early Head Start Performance Standards Create a warm, responsive, and inclusive classroom environment that supports infants' and toddlers' physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development Observe, document, and assess children's development using approved assessment tools Support children's routines (feeding, diapering, sleeping) with sensitivity and respect for individual needs Maintain health, safety, and supervision standards at all times Build strong, respectful partnerships with families, including daily communication and participation in conferences and home-school connections Support children with special needs in collaboration with Early Intervention and other specialists Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including lesson plans, assessments, and attendance records Participate in professional development, staff meetings, trainings, and reflective supervision Follow all program policies, licensing regulations, and confidentiality requirements Qualifications Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.
