Duties Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring they are developmentally appropriate and aligned with best practices in early childhood education. Supervise and support assistant teachers and caregivers to maintain a cohesive, organized classroom environment. Foster strong relationships with families through regular communication about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including pediatric first aid and CPR protocols. Implement behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being among infants. Maintain detailed documentation of each child's developmental progress, health records, and incident reports as needed. Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum enhancements that support childhood development and early learning goals. Skills Extensive knowledge of infant care, toddler care, and early childhood development principles. Proven experience working with children in daycare centers or preschool settings, including classroom experience with infants. Strong classroom management skills to create a safe, organized learning environment. Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration. Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and knowledge of mandated reporting laws. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable. Ability to implement child supervision techniques effectively while managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Familiarity with behavior management strategies tailored for infants and young children.
