Assistant Child Care Director
Job Description
The Assistant Director supports the daily operations of the childcare center by ensuring a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment for children, families, and staff. This position works closely with the Center Director to oversee program administration, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and family engagement while promoting the center's mission and educational goals. They will assume responsibility for center operations in the Director's absence. Candidates should possess skills in Childcare and Early Childhood Development. Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills. Candidates should possess skills and experience related to Education and curriculum planning. Experience in childcare center leadership or management, including staff supervision and scheduling. Knowledge of state childcare licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and compliance requirements. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities. Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, staff, and community partners. Relevant education such as an associate or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
