About Barnyard Kids Learning Center We are a growing early childhood program in Hawkins, TX and proud to serve our community. Our program draws from a variety of approaches, including Montessori-principled techniques and modern early childhood practices. What We're Looking For Our ideal Infant Teacher is: Dependable and consistent , with a strong record of attendance and punctuality. Willing to learn, receive feedback, and continue developing professionally. Infant Teacher Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide nurturing, responsive care for infants throughout the day. Establish and maintain predictable daily routines that support infants' sense of security. Observe and document children's development and progress. Carry out developmentally appropriate lesson plans and learning experiences. Maintain accurate attendance and classroom records. Communicate professionally and consistently with families regarding their child's day, development, routines, and needs. Maintain confidentiality of family and child information. Support age-appropriate feeding, diapering, toileting readiness, hygiene, and self-help skills. Participate in family-style mealtimes and classroom routines as appropriate. Maintain a safe and developmentally appropriate learning environment. Collaborate with team members to support individual children, the classroom, and center-wide goals. Follow Texas Minimum Standards and center policies and procedures. Participate in ongoing professional development and support our journey toward NECPA accreditation and continued Texas Rising Star Accreditation. Reliability & Attendance Consistent attendance is an essential qualification for this position. Infants develop strong relationships with the adults who care for them. Frequent staff changes and unexpected absences can disrupt routines and make it more difficult for children and families to establish secure relationships. We are looking for teachers who understand that being present, on time, and ready to engage with children each scheduled day is part of providing quality infant care. Applicants should have a strong employment attendance history and be able to reliably commit to their scheduled Monday-Friday position.

Qualifications Required:

High school diploma or equivalent, including homeschool or public school education. Ability to pass the required Child Care Center Background Check through the Texas Child Care Background Check Unit (CBCU). CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification. Formal training or education in Early Childhood Education or a related field, as applicable to the position and Texas requirements. Ability to meet applicable Texas Health and Human Services requirements.

Preferred:

Child Development Associate (CDA). Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field. Previous infant classroom or childcare experience. Experience documenting child development and communicating with families. Knowledge of Texas Minimum Standards and/or NECPA accreditation standards.

Experience:

Two years of teaching or childcare experience is preferred. Candidates with less experience may be considered based on education, training, demonstrated knowledge, and overall fit. Training and professional development are provided. Schedule Full-Time | Monday-Friday Hours are based on the needs of enrolled families and may change as enrollment and classroom needs change. Compensation Starting compensation is based on applicable experience, education, and training. Important Background Check Information Please note that a public school background check is not the same as the Child Care Center Background Check conducted through the Texas Child Care Background Check Unit (CBCU). Candidates must complete the required CBCU process. Failure to schedule the required background check within 24 hours of receiving the CBCU instructional email may result in disqualification from consideration.
