Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. You will work closely with preschool and toddler-aged children, guiding them through their daily activities and ensuring their safety and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development in line with early childhood education standards. Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and discovery. Monitor children's progress and behavior, providing guidance and support as needed. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to promote a collaborative learning environment. Conduct assessments to evaluate children's developmental milestones and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques. Provide care for toddlers and preschoolers, ensuring their physical needs are met (e.g., feeding, diapering). Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for all children. Maintain a clean and organized classroom space conducive to learning. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Experience working with children in various settings such as daycare, preschool, or babysitting is highly desirable. Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies. Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for nurturing young minds. Experience working with children with disabilities is a plus but not required. Certification in CPR/First Aid is preferred or must be obtained within the first month of employment.
