Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Floater/Assistant to join our early childhood education team! This vital role offers the opportunity to support classroom operations across multiple settings, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. As a Floater/Assistant, you will work closely with lead teachers and caregivers to implement developmental activities, supervise children, and maintain a positive classroom atmosphere. Duties Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development and learning. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and stimulating environment conducive to learning. Help with diapering, feeding, and personal care routines in compliance with health and safety standards. Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, progress, and any concerns about their child's development. Follow mandated reporting laws to report any signs of neglect or abuse promptly and appropriately. Support classroom staff in implementing behavior management strategies that foster positive social interactions among children. Substitute in classrooms when needed. Willing to work independently and lead a class on their own when needed. Skills Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices. Certification in First Aid, Pediatric First Aid, CPR is required or highly desirable or willing to obtain. Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and teamwork within the classroom environment. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining patience and enthusiasm. Understanding of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies tailored for young children. Be flexible with schedule. Can work in a fast pace environment.
