In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, foster a nurturing environment, and support the developmental growth of young children. Your leadership will ensure that every child receives high-quality education tailored to their individual needs, while also promoting positive behavior, social-emotional skills, and foundational learning in a faith-based context. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence young lives through innovative teaching practices and compassionate guidance. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curricula that incorporate early childhood education standards and religious principles. Lead classroom activities focused on literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional development for preschool-aged children. Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management strategies to create a safe and respectful learning environment. Plan lessons aligned with child development milestones and standardized testing requirements to support early intervention and academic success. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on child progress, address concerns, and foster strong home-school connections. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and childcare staff to ensure consistent instructional quality and classroom management. Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and ensure adherence to health and safety protocols such as first aid and CPR certifications. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, classroom management techniques, and inclusive practices for children with special needs or requiring additional support. Requirements Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, including preschool or toddler care environments. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management strategies. Knowledge of childhood development principles, special education practices, early intervention techniques, and childhood welfare policies. Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement, team collaboration, and community involvement. Valid certification in first aid and CPR; additional credentials in childhood education or preschool teaching preferred. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare. Experience teaching physical education or literacy education is advantageous; familiarity with standardized testing is a plus. Ability to foster an inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds while aligning with faith-based educational values. Join us as a Lead Teacher where your enthusiasm for early childhood education will inspire young learners daily! We are committed to creating a supportive environment that nurtures your professional growth while making a meaningful difference in children's lives through compassionate teaching rooted in faith-based principles.
