Our licensed, NAEYC-accredited, 5 STAR Early Care and Education Program at Sunrise Family Resource Center is looking for a full-time Ones (Toddler) Teacher. We are seeking a committed professional who enjoys working with one-year-olds, loves getting down on the floor to play, and appreciates that early childhood is a messy business. The ideal candidate will implement developmentally appropriate curriculum in a safe and nurturing environment, understand trauma-informed practices, work well as part of a team, and provide education and support to parents.

Qualifications:

• At least 20 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• At least 12 months of experience working with groups of children is required
• Meet at least one of the following education pathways: o Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level 3 Certificate o Associate degree from an accredited college in Early Childhood, Child or Human Development, Elementary Education, or Child and Family Services o Registered Child Care Apprenticeship Program Certificate of Completion o Child Care Certificate from the Community College of Vermont o 12 college credits with an early childhood or school-age focus • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred Candidates must be able to pass a background check with fingerprinting, to be completed upon employment.

Strong organizational skills a must. Knowledge of the philosophy and strength-based values of family centered services and early childhood education is an important part of this rewarding work.

Schedule:

40 Hours per week, Monday

• Friday: Either 8:00am
• 4:00pm or 8:30am
• 4:30pm, with a 30 minute paid lunch.

Compensation :

$19

• $21/hour, based on experience.

Professional Development Reimbursement Primary Duties:

1. Maintain NAEYC Guidelines for Best Practices and all state licensing regulations in daily operations. 2. Complete any required daily paperwork, lesson plans and notes. 3.
