Job Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Child Care Assistant Teacher! Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and proper behavior management. Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized environment that encourages exploration and learning. Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences to foster strong relationships. Follow all mandated reporting laws and health and safety regulations to ensure a secure environment for children. Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic caregiving tasks for infants and toddlers as needed. Participate in ongoing training on child development instruction, first aid (including pediatric first aid), CPR, and special education strategies to enhance your caregiving skills. Willingness to take Fundamentals of Early Childhood Learning Course. (45hrs online, class reimbursement through employer). Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire), including pediatric first aid training. Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Ability to manage classroom behavior through positive guidance techniques and behavior management strategies. Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 - 24.0 per week
