Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Long Term Infant Room Substitute to join our early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will provide consistent, nurturing care and developmentally appropriate instruction for infants in our care, ensuring a safe, engaging, and supportive environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about early childhood education and infant development to make a positive impact on young children's lives while gaining valuable classroom experience. The substitute will step into the infant room on a long-term basis, maintaining continuity of care and fostering a warm, welcoming atmosphere for both children and their families. Duties Supervise and engage infants in age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development Follow established curriculum plans focused on childhood development and early learning milestones Ensure the safety and well-being of all infants by adhering to health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, routines, and any concerns Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, developmental observations, and incident reports in compliance with mandated reporting laws Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies Collaborate with team members to create a nurturing environment that supports individual needs, including those of children with disabilities or special needs Skills Proven experience working with infants and young children in childcare, daycare center, or preschool settings Knowledge of child development instruction and early childhood education principles Strong understanding of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Ability to perform child supervision effectively while fostering independence and curiosity Familiarity with pediatric first aid, CPR, mandated reporting laws, and health & safety regulations Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new environments while maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm This position is paid and ideal for individuals eager to support early childhood growth in a dynamic setting. Pay:
