Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-K ECCAT (Early Childhood Classroom Assistant Teacher) to join our vibrant educational community. In this vital role, you will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for preschool-aged children. Your energetic approach will help foster curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills in literacy, math, and classroom behavior management. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to early childhood education while gaining valuable classroom experience in a dynamic setting. Duties Assist the lead teacher with implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and social skills activities Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a safe, organized learning environment Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive development, creativity, and social-emotional skills Help prepare educational materials and classroom resources to facilitate effective lesson delivery Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Collaborate with teachers to assess student progress and adapt instructional strategies as needed Support individualized learning plans for children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism or other developmental challenges Skills Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and best practices in preschool education Experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings Knowledge of curriculum development for early learners, including literacy and math instruction Classroom management expertise with the ability to foster positive behavior through behavior management techniques Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff Technical proficiency with educational tools and classroom technology Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable Ability to implement Montessori or other specialized teaching methodologies if applicable Demonstrated patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm for working with diverse learners in a preschool environment Join us in shaping the future by inspiring young minds!
