Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Lead Teacher to join our faith-based early childhood education team. In this role, you will serve as the primary educator and caregiver for young children in our preschool or daycare setting, fostering a nurturing environment where children can explore, learn, and grow. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate early childhood education principles, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable. Create a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes social-emotional development, behavior management, and child welfare. Engage in hands-on child development instruction tailored to individual needs, including toddler care and special education strategies. Maintain detailed lesson plans and adapt activities to support early intervention and childhood development milestones. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and classroom activities to foster strong partnerships. Ensure classroom safety by adhering to health protocols, first aid and CPR standards, and mandated reporting laws. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, classroom management techniques, and standardized testing preparations when necessary. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare environments with a strong understanding of child development instruction. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, classroom management, behavior management, and teaching physical education or literacy education. Knowledge of early childhood education frameworks such as Montessori or other developmental philosophies is preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or early intervention are a plus. Experience with toddler care, childcare standards, and daycare operations is highly desirable. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to ensure compliance and safety in all activities.
