Adjunct Faculty Pool - Psychology Description The Department of Psychology is seeking qualified candidates who are enthusiastic about teaching for ongoing part-time adjunct instructor positions. Note that this announcement aims to solicit applications in order to identify a pool of adjunct faculty who are qualified to teach undergraduate and/or graduate coursework in various modalities. Teaching assignments vary based on departmental needs.

Webster Groves Campus-WEBG Minimum Qualifications General qualifications should be appropriate for the level of class being taught, typically a Ph.D. in Psychology or related field. An ABD currently enrolled graduate student will be considered in special cases. The applicant should have experience and/or training relevant to the content area(a) being taught. Willingness to work collaboratively with faculty, as well as teach and mentor students from a wide range of disciplines, cultures, and academic backgrounds is essential. Preferred Qualifications Applicants should be qualified to teach (in person and/or online) coursework to meet the demands of the department. Additional consideration will be given to candidates who demonstrate multicultural competence in the awareness, knowledge, and skills needed to work independently and collaboratively with others who are culturally different from self in meaningful, relevant, and productive ways; demonstrate excellence (or strong interest) in providing inclusive opportunities for high-impact practices, including mentoring undergraduate research; demonstrate experience teaching a diverse student population, including international students; and whose scholarly interests intersect with the target area(s) of instruction and/or would add novel contributions to the department.
