The Psychology Department at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio invitesapplications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant / Associate Professor rank to primarily serve the APA-accreditedCounseling Psychology PsyD program beginning August 2026. The OLLU Psychology Department offers the following degrees: PsyD inCounseling Psychology and MS in Psychology, with concentrations in Marriage and Family Therapy and School Psychology. The mission of thepsychology graduate programs is to prepare culturally competent professionals who are skilled in providing strengths-based psychotherapy toindividuals, couples and families from diverse backgrounds. Graduate students may complete a certificate in providing psychological servicesin Spanish. The Psychology Department operates a community-based clinic that serves a low-income, multi-ethnic, population presenting withwide-ranging concerns. The clinic offers opportunities for innovative practice, training, and research Position dutiesinclude, but are not limited to: Teaching masters and doctoral students from Strength-Based, Solution-Focused,Narrative and/or Collaborative Theories with an emphasis on multiculturalism and social justice. Providing "live" supervision (froma Systemic theory-base) to a weekly therapy team at the university-sponsored clinic. Chairing and serving on dissertationcommittees. Academic advising and mentoring of students. Evaluating student comprehensive and clinical qualifyingexams. Engaging in program activities such as student recruitment, interviews, program evaluation. Conducting and engagingstudents in research and scholarly activities. Serving on university committees. Required Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from an APAaccredited program; Licensed or License-Eligible as a Psychologist in Texas Expertise in teaching graduate & doctoralstudents & Expertise in supervision Expertise in qualitative research methods Expertise in brief, systemic, strengths-basedapproaches to psychotherapy -
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching and supervising graduate and doctoral students AAMFT approved supervisor or eligible to become asupervisor in training Proficient in Spanish Licensed as a psychologist in Texas within one year or hire (if notlicensed)
