Day:

You'll create balanced, fun learning sessions that help elementary students grow — all in a low-pressure, rewarding setting.

Key Requirement:

Availability during school hours (Tuesday-Thursday, mornings and early afternoons) is essential for this position.

What You'll Do:

Greet and engage students, making every session welcoming and inspiring Teach using Sylvan's structured, research-based math and ELA programs Celebrate progress with praise, encouragement, and Sylvan tokens Track student growth and communicate successes with center staff Help maintain a safe, positive, and motivating environment

What We're Looking For:

Current or retired K-12 teacher (or strong experience with this age group) Experience teaching ELA/Reading and Math A genuine passion for motivating and inspiring students Strong interpersonal and communication skills Flexibility, problem-solving ability, and a team-player attitude Degree in Education, Mathematics, English, or related field is a plus If you're a dedicated teacher who still loves helping kids "get it" and wants a fulfilling role during the school day without the full-time classroom demands, this could be the perfect fit!
