Part-Time Structured Literacy / Orton-Gillingham Interventionist Educating with Love, LLC | Orlando, Florida $45-$60 per instructional hour | Part-Time / As-Needed | In Person About Educating with Love Educating with Love, LLC is a growing educational consulting and intervention practice serving students and families throughout the Orlando area. We specialize in individualized, evidence-based Structured Literacy intervention for students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties . As our student caseload grows, we are looking for experienced educators with formal Orton-Gillingham training who are passionate about helping struggling readers develop the skills, confidence, and independence needed to become successful readers. Experienced retired educators are encouraged to apply. This is a flexible, part-time/as-needed opportunity. Student assignments will be offered as families request services and matched according to the interventionist's availability, geographic preferences, and student needs. Initial hours are not guaranteed. Responsibilities Provide individualized 1:1 Structured Literacy/Orton-Gillingham intervention . Deliver explicit, systematic, sequential, cumulative, diagnostic, and multisensory literacy instruction. Provide targeted instruction in phonological and phonemic awareness, phonics, decoding, encoding, syllable patterns, morphology, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension based on individual student needs. Use student performance and error analysis to inform subsequent instruction. Maintain concise documentation of skills taught and student progress. Communicate professionally and consistently with Educating with Love regarding student progress and instructional needs. Establish positive, supportive relationships with students while maintaining high instructional expectations. Maintain consistent attendance and scheduling for assigned students. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Current Florida teaching certificate OR documentation of a previously held Florida teaching certificate for retired educators. Formal Orton-Gillingham training with documentation/certificate of completion. Strong knowledge of Structured Literacy and the Science of Reading. Experience teaching foundational literacy skills. Experience working with struggling readers and/or students with dyslexia. Strong knowledge of phonemic awareness, phonics, decoding, and encoding instruction. Excellent communication, organization, reliability, and professionalism. Reliable transportation and willingness to provide in-person intervention at agreed-upon Orlando-area locations. Willingness to successfully complete required background screening/fingerprinting before independently providing services to students. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Education, Reading, Special Education, TESOL, or a related field. Advanced Orton-Gillingham training and/or supervised practicum experience. Reading endorsement or certification. Experience providing individualized dyslexia or Structured Literacy intervention. ESOL endorsement or experience supporting multilingual learners. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus. Service Locations Services are provided in person throughout the Orlando area. Current and anticipated service locations include: Lake Nona Winter Park library locations Baldwin Park Maitland Interventionists do not need to serve every location . Student assignments will be matched according to geographic preference, availability, scheduling compatibility, and student needs. Additional Orlando-area locations may be offered by mutual agreement as Educating with Love continues to grow. Schedule This is a part-time, as-needed position . Student assignments are offered as referrals become available, and there is no guaranteed minimum caseload initially. Preference will be given to educators who can commit to consistent, recurring weekly schedules once they accept a student assignment. This opportunity may be particularly well suited for retired educators, educators working part-time, or experienced teachers seeking a flexible opportunity outside of the traditional school setting. Compensation $45-$60 per instructional hour Compensation will be based on professional experience, credentials, level of Orton-Gillingham/Structured Literacy training, and demonstrated experience providing intervention to students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties.
