MIDDLE SCHOOL
6th Grade
READING/LANGUAGE ARTS TEACHER
Frankfort Middle School is looking for a passionate and dedicated Middle School Reading/Language Arts Teache r to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students with responsibilities that include but are not limited to: Developing and implementing engaging lesson plan aligned to the
IDOE ELA
frameworks and blueprints Assess student learning through various methods and use the data to drive further instruction Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and achievements Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional strategies and share best practices Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners Frankfort Middle School is a school within the Community Schools of Frankfort and is located in a suburban area midway between Indianapolis and Lafayette, Indiana. FMS enrolls approximately 700 students where we are the Frankfort Hot Dogs . We are delighted to be in the 'Top 10 School Mascots' in the nation each year. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in English Education or Elementary Education preferred. Related fields will be considered. ELA or ELEd Teaching licensure preferred but not mandatory Non-licensed candidates will be considered and will be required to apply for an Emergency Teaching Permit Positive teaching attitude with excellent communication skills If you are an enthusiastic educator with a passion for inspiring young minds in the field of English Language Arts, we encourage you to apply!
