Groves Learning Organization seeks a Lower School Teacher to join our K-8, mission-driven nonprofit school in Minneapolis. In this role, you will deliver evidence-based instruction to K-4 students, with a strong focus on literacy, dyslexia, and learning differences. You will design engaging, structured lessons, differentiate for diverse learners, and use data to monitor progress. Working closely with specialists, colleagues, and families, you will foster an inclusive, student-centered classroom and contribute to a collaborative culture of continuous learning and literacy equity. Responsibilities Plan and deliver daily instruction for lower school students using evidence-based literacy practices Differentiate instruction for students with dyslexia and other learning differences Use data and assessments to monitor progress and adjust instruction Collaborate with specialists, teachers, and families to support student success Create an inclusive, structured, and engaging classroom environment Participate in professional development and apply current research-based strategies Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student growth Contribute to school-wide initiatives that advance literacy equity Required Skills Elementary classroom instruction Evidence-based literacy instruction Structured literacy/phonics-based methods Differentiated instruction Progress monitoring and assessment Classroom management Individualized education planning/support Data-driven instruction Collaboration with specialists and families Instruction for dyslexia and learning differences
