Position:

Teacher Substitute to cover daily assignments as needed

Qualifications:

New York State Teaching Certification preferred but not required.

Candidates should additionally possess:

• Familiarity with curriculum.
• Ability to work with diverse learners, including special education students.

Candidates must demonstrate:

• Strong work ethic and ability to collaborate with teams.
• Evidence of academic success at undergraduate and/or graduate level.
• Ability to use assessments to differentiate instruction and improve student achievement.
• Positive classroom management skills
• Ability to use instructional technology to improve student performance.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide effective instruction as outlined by classroom teacher, consistent with district curriculum expectations and the New York State common core/Next Generation Learning Standards.
