Department of Kinesiology Location University of West Alabama Open Date May 01, 2026 Description Teach a load of 12 undergraduate and graduate level credit hours per semester in the area of physical education, kinesiology, and human performance. Fulfill other faculty responsibilities, including student advisement, scholarly research, grant seeking, creative projects, and participation in University and community service.
Other related responsibilities:
Supervise interns in physical education. Serve on college and university committees as may be appropriate. Complete other appropriate responsibilities related to the total university function.
Qualifications Essential:
Earned doctorate in Physical Education, Exercise Science, or Human Performance. Ability to teach graduate and/or undergraduate courses in physical education courses (physical education, health, wellness, fitness, motor learning, adapted physical education, human performance, and related subjects). Ability to work effectively with the administration, faculty, staff, and students from within the University. Research and/or scholarly activities that are appropriate for the appointed rank. Active involvement in community service and student recruitment. Preferred Previous successful teaching experience in higher education. Successful grant writing experience.
