Position Overview Great Beginnings Academy is seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and engaging Science Teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year . This position will teach a combination of science courses based on enrollment and scheduling. Grade levels are to be determined but may include elementary, middle, and high school science.

Potential courses include:

Elementary Science Middle School Science Earth & Space Science Life Science Physical Science Biology Chemistry Environmental Science Additional science courses as assigned We are looking for an educator who can spark curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and help students develop a strong understanding of the world through hands-on learning, inquiry, and scientific investigation. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based science instruction. Create lesson plans aligned with Florida B.E.S.T. Standards. Conduct safe and meaningful classroom and laboratory activities. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Assess student progress and provide timely feedback. Maintain accurate attendance and grade records. Foster a positive, structured, and respectful classroom environment. Communicate effectively with parents and school administration. Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events. Integrate technology appropriately to support instruction while emphasizing teacher-led learning. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required (Education, Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, or a related field preferred). Florida teaching certification is preferred but not required. Previous classroom teaching experience is preferred. Experience teaching multiple science disciplines is a plus. Strong classroom management skills. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Passion for helping students develop scientific knowledge and problem-solving skills. Ability to teach multiple grade levels and adapt instruction accordingly.
