To Be Determined Job Description Grain Valley Schools is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Student Teachers for the 26/27 Spring semester. We offer a supportive and rich environment for future educators to complete their required clinical practice. Purpose Grain Valley School District is committed to fostering the next generation of excellent teachers. Our student teachers will be paired with experienced mentor teachers and are expected to actively engage in all aspects of the classroom and school environment. This experience is designed to meet university requirements while providing a realistic foundation for a successful teaching career. Student Teachers will have the opportunity to: Plan and deliver instruction that aligns with district goals, mission, and curriculum benchmarks. Practice creating a positive, inclusive, and effective classroom environment appropriate to the students' maturity level and interests. Observe and learn effective classroom management and instructional strategies from their mentor teacher. Develop supportive and professional relationships with students, parents, and school staff. Engage in ongoing self-reflection and professional growth under the guidance of a mentor teacher and university supervisor. Requirements & Eligibility Qualified candidates must: Be actively enrolled in a state-approved Missouri educator preparation program (or an approved program in a reciprocal state). Have met all university and program requirements to begin the student teaching/clinical practice semester. Demonstrate a strong work ethic, a passion for education, and a commitment to their own ongoing professional development. Possess basic knowledge of child development and instructional strategies appropriate for the grade level.

$3,000 (Financial stipend awarded to selected candidates upon successful completion of the student teaching experience)
