Astig Fitness and Martial Arts is an immaculantly well-equipped training center and successful business in Manchaca, TX celebrating 10 years of continuously growing success. Our goal is to provide a wholesome facility where students of all ages can train in a comforting family environment and enjoy and look forward to each day they get to come to the training facility. We teach a varied curriculum of classes that include the international Training for Warriors Fitness program, Mobility and Strength Training, Karate, Filipino martial arts (Kali), Women's self-defense, kickboxing, Muay Thai, as well as many private fitness training programs. We also have a very successful after school program that focuses on both Martial Arts as well as Gymnastics/Tumbling. We are looking for a fun, energetic and very dependable person to teach and supplement our existing and successful after-school program and optionally our summer camp classes to include gymnastics & tumbling for children of various ages 5-15 yrs old. Experience coaching children's tumbling is desired; however, we are willing to consider someone who has had some personal experience in the tumbling and/or dance, is very athletic, great with kids, and has an engaging and fun personality. You are not responsible for building a brand new program from scratch, but to both engage with and continue to support and grow our very successful classes children's classes. Responsibilities:

Teach classes using fun and positive teaching techniques Use proper progressions and spotting to teach skills safely Set up stations that keep the students engaged and learning Set equipment and use mats properly Lead fun and creative warmups Communicate well and frequently with both children and parents Be on time and have good attendance. Our students look forward to seeing their coach each class.

Students look up to their coach and depend on their coach to be there. Have a desire to continue learning Be a team player. We all work together to provide the best experience for each child. Be physically able to do the job. Coaching requires spotting kids, moving equipment, moving and changing positions, being up on feet. Practice all activities with the utmost safety in mind.

Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent We would prefer someone with coaching experience but are perfectly willing to consider someone who has had some personal experience in gymnastics and tumbling and is specifically great with kids.

Schedule:

After school program is Monday-Friday approximately 3:00-6:00pm with varying schedules You may still apply if you are able to work within those core hours at least two days a week Weekends are not required for this job Summer camps are also held Monday-Friday, from approximately 8:00am-5:00pm on various weeks through the summer although full time is not required.
